Щороку, у третій четвер травня, світ відзначає День вишиванки. Цього року для українців та українок це свято набуває особливого значення! Виборюючи українську свободу у війні, розв’язаній росією, ми відстоюємо як українську ідентичність, так і наші культурні символи.
Вишиванка є традиційним символом України, елементом її культурної спадщини, сакральний зміст якої єднає між собою різні покоління українців. Вона, як і мова, пісня, література – частина нашого генетичного коду, який потребує захисту.

Тому 19 травня ми запрошуємо всіх одягнути вишиванки і пройти з нами великою ходою Берліном – показати українську незламність, заявити про наше право на життя, свободу, підкреслити нашу ідентичність та самобутність!

Embroidery shirt March in Berlin!

Every year, on the third Thursday of May, the world celebrates the Day of Ukrainian Embroidery shirt. This year this holiday acquires special significance for Ukrainian men and women! Fighting for Ukrainian freedom in the war waged by Russia against Ukraine, we defend both Ukrainian identity and our cultural symbols.
The Embroidered shirt is a traditional symbol of Ukraine, an element of its cultural heritage, the sacred meaning of which unites different generations of Ukrainians. Like language, song, and literature, it is a part of our genetic code that needs protection.

Therefore, on May 19, we invite everyone to wear embroidered shirts and walk with us around Berlin – to show Ukrainian inviolability, to declare our right to life, freedom, to emphasize our identity!

Route: Neptunbrunnen – Unter den Linden – Friedrichstraße – Reinhardtstraße – Albrechtstraße – Reinhardtstraße – Luisenstraße- Unter den Linden – Brandenburger Tor

We will light candles at the Brandenburg Gate, making with them the emblem of Ukraine in memory of those killed in the war.

Put on your embroidered shirts (or any other clothes), invite friends and come! There must be many of us.
